Our goal is simple: explain metallurgy and materials technology accurately, clearly, and usefully.
How We Research
We rely on primary and technical sources: material standards (ASTM, EN, JIS, SNI, ISO), metallurgy and foundry handbooks, manufacturer datasheets, government reports, and peer-reviewed research. Figures such as process temperatures, compositions, and mechanical properties are given together with their standard or material grade. When sources disagree, we give the commonly used range and note that exact values depend on the standard and the supplier.
Accuracy and Updates
Every article is reviewed before publication by the site’s founder, a metallurgical engineer with more than 20 years of experience. We revisit important articles regularly and update them when standards change, new data appears, or readers send feedback.
How We Use AI Tools
We use AI tools to help with research, outlining, and drafting. Every article is reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by a human editor before publication, and we take full responsibility for everything we publish.
Independence
Our editorial decisions are made independently. Advertisers do not review or approve our content before publication and cannot pay to change our content or conclusions.
Limitations
Our articles are educational. For design, safety, or production decisions, always refer to the applicable standards, supplier specifications, and qualified professionals.
Corrections
